Wiking's Annual Ostfront Training and RETO Tactical - 02.2009:

A big thanks goes out to our host Alfons for putting on this great and wildly fun event again; Amanda and Esther, whom without we would have surely starved; and Albert Bergen for being the Kreigsberichter Sunday and taking such great shots!

Wiking had a great time! Saturday was split into a two, the first half covering classroom training and unit business and breaking for lunch around noon. We then took the Soviets head on in a very Russian like winter! The air temperature hovered around 0-10 degrees with a significant amount of snow on the ground. No injuries were occured and Saturday we had a good time with a game of Historical jeoparty thanks to Tedor Sturm and a movie on the projector. Sunday we mixed it up a little, four of the Wiking long time members became a third party by specifically wearing only white cammo with the goal to ambush the main squad and give them flak for every step taken while the main Wiking squad wore plain wool or oak camo and had to worry about the four man team and the Soviets. This lead to a very interesting day and a great chance for all sides to practice their skills learned on Saturday!
